Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one titles have been earned on hard surfaces
A resurgent the Russian player won his first title for 882 days with a win over opponent Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
The Russian, a former top-ranked player, has had a torrid season, achieving just a single victory at the Grand Slams and experiencing a meltdown at the US Open.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his service game in especial - caused him dropping out of the top ten and eventually parting ways with long-time coach Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, he has steadily improved in the last few weeks - culminating in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 win over opponent Moutet.
It is Medvedev's initial championship following the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hardcourt from March of 2023.
Success also indicates he has secured twenty-one victories at 21 various events.
"For the first time I'm at a tournament with my both daughters together, so to get a championship is particularly special," said world number 14 the champion.
"This championship is in dedication of my younger daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I achieved when my older daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the past champion, had been defeated in his past six finals, including in Halle previously this season.
Medvedev's retrieving play style and recurring outbursts on court had led observers to question if his skill to play at the highest level was finished.
However the athlete has implemented adjustments in the past month, striving to approach the net and perform positively, reinforced by an improved serving game.
He fought back from a deficit in the opening set against the challenging opponent, winning four of the last five exchanges to gain the advantage.
Both players swapped breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, striving for his maiden tour title, took control to force a third set.
Moutet rescued 4 early-game break points in a competitive final set before the champion won the break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Appropriately, he earned victory with a rally at the net area, with his opponent unable to manage a shot after over two and a half hours.
